Therapy for Women Navigating Motherhood, Identity, and Life Transitions
For women seeking deeper clarity, healing, and personal growth.
The Becoming Therapy Collective is a virtual therapy practice under Beyond Being Inc., a women-centered company founded by two licensed therapists and mothers.
Beyond Being was created from a shared commitment to helping women move beyond survival mode and reconnect with themselves across every stage of motherhood, from trying to conceive to pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.
Through years of clinical work, we witnessed the quiet weight many women carry: anxiety, relational strain, identity shifts, and the invisible mental load of modern motherhood. Many appear to be functioning well on the outside while feeling disconnected within.
The Becoming Therapy Collective was created as a space for deeper, clinically grounded support, where women can explore their inner world with thoughtfulness, nuance, and care.
Our approach is relational, intentional, and growth-oriented. We believe therapy is not about fixing what is broken. It is about creating space for clarity, healing, and the ongoing process of becoming.

Michelle Lima (Forni) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and the co-owner and founder of Beyond Being Inc., the parent company of The Becoming Therapy Collective. With nearly a decade of experience in the mental health field, Michelle is deeply committed to supporting women as they navigate life transitions, deepen self-awareness, and reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways.
Michelle earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Adelphi University. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively with women experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the emotional shifts that can occur during major life stages such as pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood.
Her therapeutic style is holistic and person-centered, grounded in the belief that healing happens when individuals feel truly seen, heard, and supported. Michelle is especially passionate about working with people who are on a path of self-reflection and personal growth, those who are striving not only to evolve, but also to develop greater compassion and understanding toward themselves.
In addition to her clinical work, Michelle is also a contributing author featured in the children’s book Brave Kids Vol. 3, which reflects her broader passion for emotional resilience and supporting families in building strong emotional foundations.

Monica is a licensed psychotherapist and the co-owner and founder of Beyond Being Inc., the parent company of The Becoming Therapy Collective. With more than 15 years of experience in the mental health field, she brings a broad and integrative perspective to supporting individuals through life transitions, relational challenges, and the identity shifts that often accompany adulthood and parenthood.
Monica earned her Master’s Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy. Throughout her career, she has worked across a variety of clinical settings, including trauma treatment with children, acute behavioral health care, substance use treatment for adults, and therapy with couples, families, veterans, and law enforcement professionals. While this diverse background shaped her clinical lens, the work that feels most aligned today is supporting women and mothers navigating the emotional complexities of pregnancy, parenting, and relationship changes after children.
Her therapeutic approach is relational and insight-oriented, grounded in the belief that meaningful change occurs when people reconnect with their authentic selves. She is especially passionate about helping women move beyond survival mode and into a more intentional way of living, one where their choices, relationships, and lives reflect what truly matters to them.
Her interest in personal growth and intentional living led her to pursue certification as a life coach, an experience that was both professionally and personally meaningful. This training expanded her ability to help women cultivate clarity, confidence, and alignment as they move toward the life and relationships they desire.
As co-founder of Beyond Being Inc. and The Becoming Therapy Collective, Monica helped create a space where women can receive thoughtful, meaningful support during some of the most transformative seasons of their lives. Her vision is to foster a practice that honors both emotional healing and personal evolution, where women are supported not only in feeling better, but in becoming more fully themselves.
Outside of her professional work, Monica enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and embracing experiences that bring joy, connection, and adventure. She believes deeply in living life with intention, the same philosophy she encourages in the women she works with.
Monica provides virtual therapy sessions for women across Massachusetts.
